Rafting from Tbilisi

Description

We offer one-day rafting tours with departure from Tbilisi.

1. Rafting on the Kura-Mtkvari River (near the city of Borjomi)

This is an easy rafting route with a length of 8 km, starting from the village of Chitakhevi and ending near the city of Borjomi. This tour is suitable for beginners and those who have already rafted.

• The rafting takes a little over 1 hour, depending on the season and water level.
• Difficulty in summer: class 2
• Transfer time from Tbilisi takes about 2 hours one way, depending on the group's location in Tbilisi.
• In the cold season, we provide guests with wetsuits.
• Age restriction in summer: children from 7 years old.

This trip can be combined with a visit to Borjomi, the cave city of Uplistsikhe, or the Rabati fortress in Akhaltsikhe.

Trip budget: 500 GEL for a group of up to 3 participants, and 150 GEL per participant for larger groups (excluding the additional excursion program).

Cost of rafting without transfer: 250 GEL for a group of up to 3 participants, and 70 GEL per participant for larger groups.

2. Rafting on the Pshavi Aragvi River (Georgian Military Road)

The rafting route along the Aragvi River runs along the Georgian Military Road, starting in the village of Pasanauri, 1.5 hours' drive from Tbilisi. Rafting is conducted from June to October, and neoprene suits are provided in the cold season.

Route information:

• Length: 7 km
• Start: Pasanauri village
• Age restriction: children from 10 years old
• The route is dynamic, 2-2+ category of difficulty, taking about 40 minutes

This trip can be combined with a visit to the Ananuri fortress, Jvari temple, and Mtskheta attractions.

3. Rafting on the Rioni River

Standard route 18-23 km, in the Racha region, city of Ambrolauri, difficulty 2-3 class, dynamic rafting, which is also suitable for beginners without experience, duration 2-3 hours on the water. All participants are provided with shoes and wetsuits.

• In spring and until mid-summer, dynamic rafting with rapids of 3 - 3+ category, takes about 2 hours.
• From mid-summer to late autumn, also dynamic rafting, but on lower water, the rafting time is 2.5-3 hours.
• Rafting takes place in wetsuits. In summer, neoprene 2mm, in the cold season 3.5mm.
• Age restriction: children from 14 years old from spring to July, children from 7 years old from July to October.

Tour cost from Tbilisi: 850 GEL for a group of up to 3 participants, and 250 GEL per participant for larger groups.

Cost of rafting without transfer: 450 GEL for a group of up to 3 participants, and 150 GEL per participant for larger groups.
