Hotel on Goderdzi ski resort
The Goderdzi ski resort began operating only a couple of years ago, and little information about it is available online. This article brings together information about accommodation options, booking methods, contacts, prices and conditions in Goderdzi and Danisparauli.
There are currently two accommodation options:
First: accommodation near the Goderdzi ski lifts
The Meteo Hotel and Chalet cottages are listed on the official website www.snow.ge, where accommodation can be booked for the required dates.
The Meteo Hotel offers:
- A standard room: 60 GEL for two people.
- A suite: 60 GEL for two people.
- A two-room family room: 100 GEL for four people.
- An eight-person room: 180 GEL for eight people.
- Dormitory accommodation: 20 GEL per person.
When we visited Goderdzi in mid-December 2016, the hotel was being used to accommodate resort staff and was not accepting guests, although rooms could still be booked on the website mentioned above.
The Chalet cottages are seven separate two-storey cottages. Each has a shared living room and kitchen on the ground floor, and two double rooms and two four-person rooms upstairs. An entire cottage can be rented for 500 GEL, or individual rooms can be booked: a double room for 100 GEL per day or a four-person room for 150 GEL per day.
The hotel or cottages can be booked through the website.
Second: guesthouses in Danisparauli village
The village is 4 km from the ski lifts and has several guesthouses of varying quality.
Budget accommodation costs 20 GEL per person per day without meals, or 40 GEL with meals. Discounts may be available for longer stays. The quality varies: some houses are very basic, while others offer fairly good conditions. They are village-style houses, so access to the toilet and shower is via the outside.
Contacts for two guesthouses we liked most:
1. Three Brothers: +995-595-00-51-02 (Badri).
2. Nukri: +995 591 71 83 07 (Tsiuri).
Photographs of the accommodation are shown below.
