ABOUT THE TOUR

Racha is still a relatively undiscovered mountainous region near the city of Kutaisi, ideal for active leisure pursuits. Aside from its breathtaking natural beauty, Racha is the birthplace of the famous semi-sweet wine, Khvanchkara. Moreover, the region is perfect for various active programs such as hiking, rafting, horseback riding, canyoning, etc., which can be organized as part of this excursion upon request.

TOUR ITINERARY

• Departure from the hotel at 8-9 am.
• Drive to the old cable car road of Tskhradzvari (optional trek to the Tskhradzvari summit), approximately 900 meters one way with a steep incline towards the end of the trail.
• Stop at the top of the Nakerala Pass.
• Stop at Lake Shaori
• Stop in the town of Ambrolauri for a snack
• Visit one of the wine cellars with Khvanchkara wine tasting or a winery
• Drive towards Orbeliani Pass, and stop at the secret pool of Lailashi (or at the Sairme River gorge) for swimming
• The summit of the Orbeli pass
• Rachha Waterfall
• Opitnari Waterfall
• Return to Kutaisi

Options for active programs:

Rafting - short or long routes.
Canyoning on the Shareula River (a 2-2.5-hour walk in specialized gear along the Shareula River bed)
Horseback riding (tour of 1 to 3 hours).

The standard program is designed for a one-day excursion from Kutaisi, but it can be extended to two or three days if you wish to explore the region more thoroughly, enjoy longer hikes, or participate in additional activities.

Tour details

• The optimal departure time from the hotel is between 8 and 10 a.m.
• The tour is conducted in a minivan, car, or minibus equipped with air conditioning.
• In the standard option (by minivan or car), you will be accompanied by a local English-speaking driver who is knowledgeable about the country and traditions.
• If a professional guide is required, an additional fee of 250 GEL will apply.
• For tours conducted by minibus for groups of 8 to 17 participants, the services of a professional guide are included in the price.
• Tours for larger groups of 17 to 56 participants can be arranged upon request, with the program and cost tailored individually depending on the group size and the required bus.
• The duration of the tour is 9-12 hours.

450 GEL for a group of up to 3-4 participants
550 GEL for a group of up to 5-7 participants
950 GEL for a group of up to 14-16 participants

• Canyoning (a walk along the river bed without the use of ropes, 300 lari per group of up to 3 participants, then 100 lari per participant)
