Rafting tour in Georgia. 10 days

Description

Just a trip to Georgia with minimal mass-market locations and an active program:

• 10 full days and 9 nights in Georgia.

Day 1
We meet in the morning in Tbilisi and begin our journey.
We head towards Borjomi, stopping along the way at the Jvari Viewpoint.
On this day, we have an easy rafting trip on the Kura (Mtkvari) River, about 1 hour on the water.
We spend the night near Rabati Fortress in Akhaltsikhe.

Day 2
After breakfast, we drive to the cave city of Vardzia, stopping at scenic viewpoints.
We end the day with a masterclass on Meskhetian cuisine and spend the night in the area.

Day 3
A 3-5 hour horseback riding tour in the Vardzia area. We ride up to the plateau, visit natural hot springs, and spend the night at the same guesthouse.

Day 4
A transfer day. We drive towards Kutaisi, stopping for a walk in Borjomi.
We visit the Navenakhevi Cave, a little-known cave near Kutaisi.
Evening in the city.

Days 5 and 6
We head to the mountains.
We start in the Racha region, located about 60 km from Kutaisi.
Over these two days, we explore the region, visit scenic viewpoints, have a classic 2-2.5 hour rafting trip on the Rioni River, and go canyoning—a walk along the bed of the Shareula River.
We spend the nights in the region.
On the evening of Day 5: dinner at a guesthouse with classic regional dishes.

Day 7
Transfer over the Zagari Pass to Upper Svaneti, and then to Racha, stopping at scenic viewpoints and mountain passes along the way.
Night in Ushguli, the highest permanent settlement in Europe.

Day 8
In the morning, an optional hike to the Shkhara Glacier for those interested.
Then we transfer to Mestia (about 50 km), with stops at scenic viewpoints.
Night in Mestia, dinner with regional dishes.

Day 9
A rest day in Mestia, exploring the town's attractions.
Optionally, you can take a 4x4 ride to Koruldi Lakes and do a short hike.

Day 10
The last day.
In the morning, we check out and head towards the town of Zugdidi.
Along the way, we stop in the village of Mazeri, where those interested can take a 3-hour hike to the waterfalls. Others can relax at a scenic cafe at the foot of Mount Ushba.
We end the program in Batumi.
Those wishing to return to Tbilisi can take the evening train from Zugdidi.
