3-days rafting on the Rioni river

Description

DAY 1

The group meeting is at 9 am in Kutaisi, then departure to the mountain region Racha.  Several stops in the most interesting sights of the region will be during our drive to a start point,  as the top of Nakerala pass and Shaori lake. Also, we will stop at a market and we will have a coffee break in Ambrolauri township.

Arriving at the rafting start point located close to Ambrolauri city  This day will be easy descent by middle Rioni. We will be training.  Detailed safety talk about teamwork, paddling, and safety technique during rafting descent will be before the start.   

Dinner and accommodation in camping on a riverside will be at night.

DAY 2

Breakfast, the rafting descent will start a little bit upper the Oni village. It will be long travel into an expressive section of the upper part of the river. Water drops, speed float, waves, and beaches will await us during the day. Lunch will be on the riverbank along the way.

We will check possibility to do rafting in Mukhli canyon (the 2 km part of the river) on the place. The descent possibility depends of the water level and river condition.

Dinner and accommodation in camping on a riverside will be at night.

DAY 3

Breakfast rafting start at the section of the Tvishi village. We will finish the descent after the Tvishi canyon the most intricate section of the Rioni river. After rafting, we will fold the equipment, have lunch and come back to Kutaisi.

Tour suited for individual groups from 2 till 24 persons 

The optimal crew on the raft is 4 to 6 persons.

Program changes (duration, accommodation in a hotel, events and etc) are available by individual request.

Tour price:

The minimal tour price is 3400 GEL per group up to 4 participants, and the fee is 850 GEL per person in groups of 5 and more participants.

Two nights in the camp
