Rafting on the Tekhuri River

Description

The Tekhuri River flows through the Samegrelo region and is located near the popular Martvili Canyons.

The lower part of the Tequri itself represents a relatively gentle river of class 2-2+ difficulty with several local rapids of class 3-4+.

The most interesting part of the river is the final 1.5 kilometers, which pass through the karst canyon of Noklakhevi. Besides landscapes comparable to the Martvili Canyon, it also features the hot springs of Bethlehem, where we make a stop, as well as three very dynamic rapids in the last part of the canyon.

One rafting route is available on the Tekhuri River: 5 km through the final Nokalakevi canyon, with 50–60 minutes on the water. Kayaking is also possible.

Cost of the summer 5 km trip:

Rafting: 100 GEL per participant for groups of 5 or more participants.

Kayaking and canoeing: 200 GEL per participant, minimum group size of 2 participants.
