8-Day Tour: Svaneti, Hiking, Rafting, Canyoning

July 2026 - Group Tour (Second Half of July)

Day 1
Morning meet-up in Batumi. Drive to Svaneti, to Mazeri village. On the way we stop at:

• Inguri Dam,

• the confluence of the Inguri and Khaishi rivers,

• several scenic viewpoints along the mountain road.

Overnight in Mazeri, at the foot of Mount Ushba.

Day 2
Breakfast. Hiking to the Shdugra Waterfalls (Mazeri). The trail is about 14 km round trip with around 600 m elevation gain.

Day 3
Breakfast.
Horse ride up to the Guli Pass. If the weather allows, we continue the trek through the Koruldi Lakes to Mestia.
From the lakes, we descend by Jeep.

Overnight in Mestia.

Day 4

A rest day in Mestia. We relax, explore the town, visit the Museum of Svan House and Tower, hike through the Mulkhara River Gorge, and try natural narzan mineral water.

We spend the night in Mestia.

Day 5

We transfer to Ushguli and go hiking to the Shkhara Glacier. The distance is about 6 km with an elevation gain of approximately 400 meters.

 Spend the night in Ushguli.

Day 6

Transfer to the Racha region for rafting on the Rioni River (Class 2-3+). The route is 20 km long and takes over 2 hours.

Night in Racha, with dinner and a master class.

Day 7

Canyoning along the Shareula River bed. Wearing 5mm neoprene wetsuits, we navigate the river canyon, overcoming water obstacles until we reach a waterfall. On the way back, we jump off cliffs, do body-rafting over rapids and riffles.

After canyoning, we depart for Kutaisi. There, we explore the city and have dinner at a classic restaurant.

Day 8

In the morning, the final day. We explore the city and then depart.

Accommodation & Meals
Accommodation is provided in 2-star hotels with breakfast included – clean, good location, private bathroom in the room.
Lunches and dinners are arranged in local cafes along the route.
For hiking days – we prepare lunchboxes.

Transport & Guide

• For groups of 1–3 participants – a crossover vehicle with air conditioning. The tour is led by a driver-guide: a local who knows the routes, places, culture, traditions, and basics of history, and can answer questions about the country (without going deep into dates and details).

• For groups of 4–5 participants – a minivan with a driver-guide.

• For groups of 6–17 participants – a minibus with a driver and an additional guide.

• $4,400 USD for a group of 3 participants

For a group of 4-5 participants:

• $1,400 USD per participant

For a group of 6-10 participants:

• $1,300 USD per participant

For a group of 11-15 participants:

• $1,200 USD per participant
