Racha: Rafting, Camping, and Canyoning

Join a Two-Day Tour to the Racha-Lechkhumi Region with Rafting on the Rioni River (Class 2-3).

Departure from Tbilisi and Batumi. You can also join the tour in Kutaisi.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1

• 8:00 AM: Departure from Tbilisi and Batumi
• Coffee break on the way
• Visit the old cable car above Tkibuli, with an option for a 1 km hike to the peak of Tsqradzhvari
• Stop at the Narikala Pass with a beautiful view of the town of Tkibuli and the lake of the same name
• Visit the mountain lake Shaori
• Snack in the town of Ambrolauri
• Visit a local winemaker’s house
• 20 km rafting on the Rioni River (2.5 hours)
• Accommodation in a riverside campsite with showers and toilets
• Georgian dinner with wine and barbecue
• After the rafting, we’ll stay overnight in a tent camp by the river, where we’ll enjoy dinner featuring traditional Racha dishes.

Day 2

• 9:00-10:00 AM: Breakfast
• 10:00 AM: Optional canyoning on the Sharula River (4.5 hours, cost: 120 GEL)
  For those not participating in canyoning:
  • Relax in the camp, and at 12:00 PM visit the park at the foot of the Sairme Pillars
• 3:00 PM: Departure back to Batumi and Tbilisi, with a stop for a snack or lunch on the way.
