"Active" rafting tour on the Rioni river

Description

Day 1

Group meeting at the airport by option (Batumi, Tbilisi or Kutaisi). 

Transfer to hotel in the city of Kutaisi. 

Depend of the team features, time and a place of arrival we will choice an optimal excursion program which will be available at the first trip day. 

Dinner in a cafe or restaurant in Kutaisi by your choose. (Fee of the meal don’t include in tour price) 

Day 2

Breakfast in the hotel

11 am group departure on rafting  along the lower part of the Rioni river. Today will be easy descent on the full-flowing river section of the 15 kilometers stretch. Waves and mild rapids will await us to training main whitewater skills and foolproof team work for further descents.

3 pm Picnic on a river bank

4 pm Homing to the hotel

6 pm We will walk with guide along the old city center, we will visit sights like as Bagrati temple, Kolkhidian fountain.

Dinner in a cafe or restaurant in Kutaisi by your choose. (Fee of the meal don’t include) 

Day 3

Breakfast in the hotel.

10 am Departure to the Racha region. During the our drive will visit Gelati monastery with  the first Science Academy building on Caucasus was founded in 12 century. Mountain Shaori lake, view area on the top of Narikala pass, will stopping at coffee break in Ambrolauri township. 

2 pm We will start rafting on the second section of the Rioni. Beginning from place close to Barakoni church we will descent down 12 km stretch of the river with rapidly flow and water drops. This rafting route is suited for all.

Accommodation at night and dinner in a tent camp.

Day 4

Breakfast in the camp 

11 am We will start rafting. Today will a dynamic descent along Alpana canyon one of the beautifulest place on the river. It is an  interesting adventure on the water of 14 km stretch with rocks alongside banks and rapids in the river flowing.

Homing to the camp, lunch

3 pm We will hike to the Sairme Svetebi, unique place close of our camp. Hike isn’t hard, it is track of 5 km in not high mounts. Duration of the trekking about 4 hours.

Accommodation at night and dinner in a tent camp.

Day 5

Breakfast in the camp

11 am Today we will raft the Tvishi the most difficult and beauty section on the Rioni. Total distance is 15 km stretch and 8 last consist of strong rapids with high waves, deep holes and intricate lines. It is place suited for brave and skilful crew. Decision about possibilities of rafting in canyon depend of water level and the real crew skills.

Final lunch after rafting, departure to airport or hotel.

Tour details

Start point of trip is any city of Georgia or Armenia.

It is tour for personal teams from 2 to 36 participants.  

Optimal number of participants are 12-18 mens.

We can change trip line or any other conditions of the tour by your request.

Two nights in hotels of Kutaisi (accommodation in 2-3th places  rooms with bathroom)

Two nights in tent camp

All breakfasts, exclude the first day. 

Dinner in local style at camping days  (National dishes of fresh goods)
