Canyoning in Adjara (Skurdidi)

Technical Route Description

This is a unique, moderately challenging canyon trekking adventure through the Skurdidistskali River Canyon, located in Machakhela National Park, Adjara, Georgia.

• Route length: 3 km
• Elevation change: approximately 100 m per kilometer
• Duration: 3–5 hours, depending on the group's fitness level and other individual factors.

During the descent through the Skurdidistskali River Canyon, participants will overcome a variety of natural obstacles, including waterfalls, fast-flowing water, and rocky sections. Some obstacles will be negotiated using specialized canyoning equipment, including 7-meter and 5-meter waterfalls. Other sections will be completed without technical equipment using natural climbing techniques and optional jumps into the water from heights of approximately 3–4 meters.

Participant Requirements

• Age: 16–55 years
• Good general physical condition
• No medical restrictions that would prevent participation
• No significant excess body weight

Price

The program includes:

• Professional guide services
• Round-trip transportation from Batumi (including waiting time)

180 GEL per person for groups of 3 or more participants.

For smaller groups, a fixed price of 560 GEL applies.
