Rafting on the Aragvi River in Pasanauri

Description

The Aragvi River flows through eastern Georgia, alongside the Georgian Military Road that connects Tbilisi with Kazbegi and the Russian border. The area has numerous tourist attractions, making the region very popular with travelers. A trip here can be enriched with an easy rafting experience lasting just under an hour.

In spring (April–May), during the high-water season, the route becomes dynamic, with rapids of international class II–III. At this time, coordinated teamwork in the raft is essential. Children under 14 are not allowed to participate, and on certain days, rafting may be canceled due to extreme water levels and increased risks. Rafting time during this period is 25–40 minutes on the water.

From July onward, when the water level drops, the route becomes much easier and suitable for children aged 7 and older. Rafting time during this period ranges from 40 to 60 minutes.

• Difficulty level: Class II–III in spring and early summer; Class II from July to September

  – Spring to early summer: 25–40 minutes
  – July to September: up to 1 hour

• Age restrictions:
  – Spring: children 14+ accompanied by adults
  – Mid-July to September: children 7+ accompanied by adults

Tour details

At the starting point, we will have a safety briefing and basic paddling instructions. Participants are then equipped with the necessary gear before beginning the rafting trip.

In case of bad weather, wetsuits are available at the base.

Price:

• 250 GEL per group (up to 3 participants)

• 70 GEL per additional participant

Discounts are available for groups of more than 12 people and for tour operators working with us on a regular basis.
